John Kessler Appointed COO At Empire State Realty Trust

New York—Empire State Realty Trust In.c today announced that John Kessler has been appointed president & COO. Anthony Malkin will continue as chairman & CEO. Kessler will focus on real estate portfolio performance, operations, capital markets and investor relations activities.

Before coming to Empire State Realty Trust, Kessler was at Fortress Investment Group in the role of managing director in the credit business focusing on real estate. He also spent several years in several different capacities at Morgan Stanley Real Estate.

Kessler received a BA cum laude from Harvard College where he studied Engineering Sciences and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
