KBS Commercial Real Estate has signed a lease with Jackson Lewis P.C. to occupy 17,291 square feet in the investor’s 510,268-square-foot Class A office tower at 171 17th St. in Atlanta. The law firm currently operates out of Dewberry Capital’s Campanile Building, approximately 1 mile southeast.

KBS picked up the office high-rise from JP Morgan Asset Management in a $132.5 million transaction in August 2014, according to Yardi Matrix.

Located in Midtown Atlanta, the 22-story LEED Silver tower rises along the west side of Interstate 75. The building is part of the Atlantic Station neighborhood, home to numerous retail, office and residential structures. Nearly 5 million square feet of Class A office space is within half a mile of the property.

Cushman & Wakefield’s Sam Hollis represented the tenant in the lease transaction, with the brokerage’s Glenn Kolker and Sonia Winfield acting on behalf of KBS Commercial Real Estate.

Last month, Bank of the Ozarks renewed a nearly 29,000-square-foot lease alongside Interstate 75, 8 miles north of KBS Commercial Real Estate’s office tower.
