Dallas-based commercial real estate development and investment firm KDC is partnering with the Craig Ranch master-planned development to build and market a 160-acre corporate district component of the project. Located in McKinney, Tex., Craig Ranch is a 2,200 business, retail and residential community whose corporate district is valued at $364 million.

The project’s total employment district consists of two components: the corporate district, which will have the potential to build two million square feet of multi-tenant office space, and a 90-acre medical district whose acreage has already been 45 percent purchased by The Cooper Fitness Center & Spa, Cooper Clinic, The Hospital at Craig Ranch and Tuscarora International. The total employment district is valued at $575 million.

When announcing the news, Craig Ranch master developer David Craig said KDC’s experience in developing corporate build-to-suit projects makes the company a perfect fit for his needs. “We are positioning Craig Ranch to be the top choice for corporate relocations and company headquarters,” he said. “With KDC as our partner, we are gearing up for the market to recover.”

KDC has developed more than 110 build-to-suit projects over the last decade. The company provides a full range of commercial real estate services including corporate build-to-suit development, acquisitions, corporate facility/construction management and project financing.
