Kennedy Wilson Arranges Sale of Upcoming Stratford School Campus

Silicon Valley-based Stratford School is set to open its first Los Angeles facility following the acquisition of a 1.2-acre campus in Hollywood.

Located at 1200 N. Cahuenga Blvd., the campus will open as a new Stratford School in August 2016, just in time for the start of the school year. Stratford, a WASC-accredited private school that operates 18 campuses, bought the property from Tekeyan Cultural Association (TCA), an international organization dedicated to the advancement of the Armenian culture.

Formerly the home of the Arshag Dickranian Armenian School and cultural center, the asset consists of two buildings totaling 30,200 square feet of space. The property also includes subterranean parking, a play area and a theatre.

The Stratford School offers classes from preschool through middle school. As a nod to the property’s previous owner, Stratford plans to erect a monument at the site in order to pay tribute to the Armenian cultural heritage.

Senior Vice President Christine Deschaine and Executive Vice President Fred Cordova of Kennedy Wilson arranged the sale on behalf of TCA.

The facility, which TCA has owned and operated since 1981, was move-in ready at the time of sale. According to Deschaine, “new development in the area is primarily reserved for hotels, retail and condos, further limiting options for those in education.”
