Bethesda, Md.—Real estate investment and development company Lantian Development recently announced the appointment of Robert Elliott Jr. as COO & EVP. In his new position, he will oversee activities including acquisition evaluations and operations, day-to-day operations, as well as development and construction activities.

Bringing more than two decades of expertise to the table, Elliott most recently served as director of development for Washington REIT, where he was in charge of all development activities for the company’s commercial office, retail and multifamily portfolios. His professional track record also includes leadership positions with Clark Enterprises and The JBG Cos.

Elliott holds a B.A. in Architecture and a Bachelor of Architecture from Rice University, as well as an MBA in finance and real estate from University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School. He is also a LEED Accredited Professional.
