Providence, R.I.—The Omni Providence Hotel, a landmark hotel in downtown Providence, has announced the completion of renovations made to the West tower of the property. The 564-key hotel underwent a recent $15 million investment, including upgrades to guest rooms, landings and public spaces.

Located at 1 W Exchange St., the property is also in close proximity to multiple historic attractions, gourmet restaurants, upscale shopping, city’s main college campuses and entertainment. Recently, Providence was named No. 3 in America’s Most Charming Cities by Travel+Leisure. The hotel offers easy access to the Rhode Island Convention Center, Dunkin’ Donuts Center and the new Providence Mall. Recognized as the largest hotel in the state, Omni Providence Hotel offers 18 meeting rooms totaling 22,877 square feet of meeting space accommodating gatherings of any size. Amenities for guests include heated indoor pool, a fitness center and valet parking. The on-site venues such as Centro Restaurant, Flemings Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar and Morsel’s offer multiple dining options.

The renovation includes modifications in guest corridors and elevator lobbies such as new carpeting, furnishing, wallcoverings, and contemporary light fixtures and artwork. All guestrooms feature new vinyl wallcoverings and carpeting with geometric designs, custom bedding and drapery, plush seating and modern decorative lighting. Upgrades in guest bathrooms include new vanities, wallcoverings, illuminated mirrors and new finishes and materials. Previous improvements consisted of redecorated meeting spaces, breakout rooms and ballrooms. Additionally, upgrades were made to the indoor pool and the hotel’s coffee shop, Morsel’s.

“The Omni Providence Hotel showcases the look and feel of New England, and truly provides our guests a sense of place,” Burnell Goldman, hotel general manager, said in a prepared statement. “We have made the hotel a focal point of Providence, and everything from the design, décor, culinary experience and amenities is reflective of this great city,” he added.
