LaSalle added a new member to its Chicago team. Tim Kessler, the former principal of FPL Consulting, will serve as the new global head of corporate strategy and business development, reporting to the company’s CEO, Jeff Jacobson. His responsibilities include identifying, evaluating and pursuing new opportunities for corporate growth worldwide. Kessler will also collaborate with LaSalle’s Global Management Committee to enhance company services through developing and implementing the best practices and investment solutions.

Tim is a key addition to our growing bench of talent. He has deep experience in the real estate sector – having worked with and driven results for some of the largest and most sophisticated investment managers in the world. We are excited about the contributions that Tim can make across our entire global platform. We have worked closely with Tim on various projects over the years, and are confident he will be a great addition to our team,” said Jacobson in prepared remarks.

Kessler started his career in real estate in 2002. At Bear Sterns, he specialized in underwriting equity financings for various clients. After that, he was a consultant with ZS Associates from where he accepted a vice president position, leading to principal, with FPL Associates. He is a graduate of Harvard University and holds an M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Earlier this year, LaSalle acquired 123 North Wacker Drive, a 30-story Class A office tower located in Chicago’s West Loop, from LNR Partners for $147 million.
