Law Firm Signs 100 KSF Lease at 55 Hudson Yards
Boies Schiller Flexner took up four full floors within the 1.3 million-square-foot office building. The firm’s new space also features a 4,000-square-foot café.
Boies Schiller Flexner signed a lease to occupy more than 100,000 square feet in Related Cos., Oxford Properties Group and Mitsui Fudosan America Inc.’s 55 Hudson Yards in Manhattan. The law firm will occupy floors 18 through 21.
Schiller Projects designed the firm’s new space, which features a 4,000-square-foot cafe, mixed-use workrooms, conference lounges, call rooms, libraries, open platform offices and dozens of collaboration spaces. The property, a 1.3-million-square-foot, 780-foot tall office building designed by A. Eugene Kohn of Kohn Pedersen Fox, received LEED Gold at its completion in 2018. It is part of the Hudson Yards mega-development, which houses a wide array of prestigious tenants, including Silver Lake Partners, L’Oreal, SAP, BCG, Cooley and, most recently, Lyft.
The property is located at 550 W. 34th St., at the junction of Hudson Yards, the High Line and Hudson Park & Boulevard. Additionally, the entrance to the no. 7 subway station, which has a direct connection to Grand Central Station, is right across from the building.
“This space allows us optimally to engage with each other and with clients including through open and collaborative workspaces for our trial lawyers. The location is also perfect as we have core clients moving into our building an elevator ride away and into the surrounding extensive Hudson Yards development generally,” Boies Schiller Flexner Managing Partner Jonathan Schiller said in a prepared statement.
