LBA Hospitality will open two new properties close to the SeaWorld theme park in Orlando, Fla. TownePlace Suites by Marriott and Holiday Inn Express and Suites will add more than 125 jobs and 369 keys, combined. Mandala Holdings owns the two hotels.
Located at the intersection of International Drive and Central Florida Parkway, the two properties are close to the city’s most popular attractions, including SeaWorld, Discovery Cove, Aquatica Orlando, Orange County Convention Center, Universal Studios and Walt Disney World. Focusing on the leisure and corporate crowds, TownePlace Suites by Marriott Orlando at SeaWorld and Holiday Inn Express and Suites Orlando at SeaWorld are the newest additions to LBA Hospitality’s hotel portfolio in the Central Florida area.
“These two new properties will enable us to serve more visitors, business travelers and families looking for an affordable, convenient, fresh stay in two outstanding custom-designed, new hotels,” said LBA Hospitality President Beau Benton, in a prepared statement.
Tourist Attractions
The TownePlace Suites by Marriott Orlando at SeaWorld will feature 188 keys on six floors and will offer a complimentary shuttle to various attractions along International Drive. Amenities will include an outdoor pool, on-site fitness center, business center, free continental breakfast and concierge. LBA Hospitality is bringing the first TownePlace to the market for both short-term and extended stays.
The Holiday Inn Express and Suites Orlando at SeaWorld will feature 181 guest rooms—including some with kids’ suites—on six floors, complimentary breakfast, an outdoor pool, fitness center, business center and meeting space.
LBA Hospitality named Alex Figueroa as general manager for TownePlace Suites and Mason Caracciolo as general manager for Holiday Inn Express. Figueroa most recently served as general manager of SpringHill Suites in Sanford, Fla. Caracciolo brings 16 years of hospitality experience to his role, previously supporting IHG’s Holiday Inn Franklin-Cool Springs. Prior to his role there, he served as general manager of LBA-managed Courtyard by Marriott Lake Mary-North. Biljana Djokovic will serve as director of sales for both properties.
Orlando is a leader statewide and nationally in terms of job growth and recorded a record 68 million visitors last year.
