Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises has signed a lease for more than 38,000 square feet at 321 N. Clark St. in Chicago’s River North, planning to open a new restaurant and events venue by mid-2019. By the time the restaurant launches, Hines and its partners Diversified Real Estate Capital and American Realty Advisors would have finalized the renovations at the 896,502-square-foot, Class A office building.
The four-level space will provide views and access to the Chicago River and will comprise three separate venues: a bi-level restaurant, a private events space and a casual concept entertainment space. The building managers consider it to be the centerpiece of the renovated asset, next to other upgrades including a Goettsch Partners-designed lobby, an expanded fitness center and tenant lounge.
“Our tenants want to provide their employees with an outstanding office environment that delivers a modern workplace while providing a work/life balance lifestyle. The combination of the new restaurant and entertainment space with our building renovations will greatly enhance the environment for our tenants,” said Greg Van Schaack, senior managing director at Hines, in prepared remarks.
