Thorpe is responsible for overseeing the Research Department in DTZ’s (formerly Cassidy Turley’s) major regional offices as well as focusing on national trends and forecasts in the CRE industry. He has developed several econometric models to predict market trends, is a member of the National Association for Business Economics (NABE), and has authored numerous studies and survey reports.

Thorpe is frequently quoted in publications such as The Wall Street Journal and The Washington Post, and has made several television appearances on financial networks and radio. In 2014, he was recognized as the nation’s most accurate economic forecaster with the NABE’s Outlook Award.
