L&L Holding Expands Times Square Project Team
The firm hired Robert Israel, Domenick DiNizo and Elena Zaika to assist in the $2 billion redevelopment of 1568 Broadway in Times Square.

Shortly after joining the $2 billion redevelopment of the Doubletree Suites Times Square Hotel property in Manhattan, L&L Holding Co. has expanded its development and construction team by hiring Robert Israel as senior vice president, Domenick DiNizo as project manager and Elena Zaika as project controller. Effective immediately, Israel will oversee the project’s construction, working closely with Senior Vice President of Development David Orowitz. DiNizo and Zaika will be in charge of construction operations and daily accounting and reporting activities, respectively.

Prolific industry veterans
Israel brings more than 20 years of experience in real estate and construction to his role. He will report to the company’s President & Chief Investment Officer Robert Lapidus. Prior to joining the L&L team, Israel worked at his own firm, Solid Development Inc. Between 2013 and 2015, he worked as project director for RFR Holding, where he oversaw the historic conversion of five warehouse buildings into a 1 million-square-foot office and retail space now known as Dumbo Heights in Brooklyn. He also worked as Northeast Region alliance director for Global Corporate Services at CBRE.
DiNizo will report to Israel and Orowitz. He previously worked for the Suffolk Construction Co., where he served as project manager for the Hudson Exchange project. Prior to that, he served as Dumbo Heights’ project manager at Kushner Cos./RFR Realty. Additionally, he worked as superintendent for Skanska USA.
Like Israel, Zaika brings along more than 20 years of commercial real estate experience. Her prior roles included construction and development controller with RFR Realty, where he oversaw all finance, accounting and reporting activities. She also served as portfolio controller for the Kaufman Org. Her prior roles included various positions with Sentinel Real Estate Corp., Dermer Management Inc. and Rose Associates.
