Marcus & Millichap is adding 6,000 square feet to its Chicago office at 333 W. Wacker Drive to accommodate new team members. Following the expansion, the downtown workplace will have space for 80 sales professionals, originators and staff as well as the team’s three managers: Richard Matricaria, David Bradley and Joseph Powers.
“We are seizing opportunity to accelerate our company’s growth in a key, strategic urban market through the expansion of our downtown office, and enhance synergy with our top Chicago-based Institutional Property Advisors (IPA) agents under one roof,” said Matricaria, in prepared remarks.
Oak Brook division grows
In addition to this move, Marcus & Millichap also plans to grow its Oak Brook team from 34 to 45 people. The office, managed by Steven Weinstock, has recently received several facility and interior upgrades. The company will transfer personnel from its O’Hare branch to its downtown Chicago or Oak Brook locations.
Marcus & Millichap’s downtown location offers easy access to public transportation and a variety of amenities. The 36-story office building sits at the intersection of two top-performing Chicago submarkets, the West Loop and River North, being anchored by Aetna Insurance and Nuveen Investments, according to the property manager’s website. PNC Realty bought the iconic office tower from Hines in 2015, in a $320.5 million transaction.
