Calgary, Canada—Marriott Hotels recently welcomed the Calgary In-Terminal Marriott Hotel to its portfolio. The hotel is located minutes from the departure gates between the existing domestic terminal and the new $2 billion International Terminal Building at Calgary International Airport.
The hotel’s 318 guestrooms offer views of the Calgary skyline, the Alberta Prairies and the Canadian Rocky Mountains. Amenities include custom duvets, 49-inch flat screen televisions, high-speed internet access, a fitness center with pool and whirlpool, more than 18,350 square feet divided into 12 meeting rooms, a 5,900-square-foot ballroom and Calgary’s new restaurant, Yakima Social Kitchen and Bar. The hotel is close to local attractions such as downtown Calgary, the Calgary Zoo and TELUS Spark Science Centre.
“We’re excited to welcome our first guests and have them experience urban sensibilities in an airport environment,” Dan DeSantis, general manager of Calgary Airport Marriott In-Terminal Hotel, said in a prepared statement.
“Marriott Hotels have consistently pushed the boundaries of innovation in travel to create experiences that inspire and push our guests’ creativity. The Calgary Marriott In-Terminal Hotel has accomplished this and more and we know their guests will be thrilled. We want our guests to experience forward-thinking, aesthetically pleasing spaces that help foster their inventive nature,” said Matthew Carroll, vice president of Marriott Hotels.
