McKibbon Hospitality has opened its first dual-branded hotel—the 22-story AC Hotel and Residence Inn Charlotte City Center. Following a partnership with Vision Ventures and general contractor Cleveland Construction, the tower brings 300 guestrooms to Uptown Charlotte, N.C.
Located above the EpiCentre at 210 E. Trade St., the property brings the first AC Hotel of the metro, featuring 2,400 square feet of meeting space, a rooftop bar and lounge and an adjacent penthouse suite for rent. The AC Hotel consists of 184 keys and occupies floors five through 12 of the building. The Residence Inn features 116 apartment-style accommodations in a mix of studios and one- and two-bedroom suites on levels 14 through 21 of the tower.
Recently, another dual-branded hotel opened in Charlotte—Courtyard and Residence Inn hotel, under Midas Hospitality’s management. Located just minutes from Northlake Mall and Lake Norman, the hotel includes a total of 188 guestrooms and roughly 1,400 square feet of meeting space.
