Meet Madison Realty’s New VP
Stephen Nemeroff has joined the company as vice president of acquisitions and originations.
New York—Madison Realty Capital (MRC) Co-Founder & Managing Principal Josh Zegen recently announced the appointment of Stephen Nemeroff as the firm’s new vice president of acquisitions and originations. Nemeroff will work closely with MRC principals and support the firm’s external growth initiatives by identifying and securing new acquisition and loan origination opportunities.
With more than 11 years of experience in the commercial real estate debt and equity investment industry, Stephen Nemeroff previously served as vice president of acquisitions at The Renatus Group, where he was responsible for new business development, as well as sourcing and underwriting investment opportunities. During his tenure at Renatus, Nemeroff was directly involved in approximately $700 million worth of distressed commercial mortgage acquisitions and value-add real estate equity investments.
“Stephen will play an integral role in meeting our long-term objectives in both new acquisitions and loan originations as well as further deepening our team of multidisciplinary professionals with the creative expertise needed to meet the challenges of our industry. We’re excited to have him aboard,” Josh Zegen said in prepared remarks.
MRC is an institutionally backed real estate private equity firm focused on real estate equity and debt investments in the middle markets. Founded in 2004, MRC has invested in approximately $5.2 billion worth of transactions in the multifamily, retail, office, industrial and hotel sectors.
