Metro Storage Opens GA Facility
The firm has expanded its portfolio with a 586-unit self storage asset in Austell, approximately 20 miles of downtown Atlanta.
Metro Storage has opened a 71,335-square-foot facility in Austell, Ga. The firm repurposed a former Target retail store building to bring 586 storage units to the Atlanta-area community.
The newly redeveloped storage facility at 3757 Floyd Road is near the East-West Connector and Interstate 285, within 20 miles of downtown Atlanta and roughly 8 miles of downtown Marietta, Ga. The facility is also close to multifamily assets, with approximately 10,600 completed units within a 5-mile radius.
The converted single-story building sits on 10.2 acres and encompasses climate-controlled units, ranging from 25 to 300 square feet, according to Yardi Matrix data. Additionally, the storage asset features a covered loading area, multiple entrances, security cameras, parking spaces and a leasing office. Besides these, services offered include on-site management and retail.
Metro Storage owns 17 facilities in the Atlanta-area, but the firm also has a project underway in South Brunswick, N.J., which is slated for completion by the third quarter of this year.
