Montage to Open Wine Country Hotel

Montage Hotels & Resorts has unveiled plans for its first hotel in Northern California’s wine country. Owned by Ohana Real Estate Investors, the 130-key resort is anticipated to break ground this spring with a tentative opening date set for spring of 2020. The Robert Green Co. will serve as the developer for the project, with GlazierLe, Delawie and EDG handling the architectural and design aspects of the development.

Located in Healdsburg, Calif., the property, dubbed the Montage Healdsburg, will be situated on 258 acres of land and offer convenient access to notable wineries in the area. Guest amenities include a spa featuring open-air massages, an infinity pool and a high-end restaurant. Additionally, the property will be available for private functions, such as weddings and receptions.

“Since acquiring this unique property more than a decade ago, we and our partners at Ohana Real Estate Investors are excited to now bring this remarkable property in Healdsburg to fruition with the support of Montage Hotels & Resorts,” said Robert Green Jr., president & CEO of The Robert Green Co., in a prepared statement. “Together we have taken considerable care to design an extremely environmentally sensitive project that fits naturally to the existing topography and preserves literally tens of thousands of beautiful oak trees on the property.”

Last year, a new luxury hotel development broke ground 25 miles to the east in the town of Calistoga.
