In a Washington, D.C., apartment market with strong demand for rentals, one developer has just added 400 more units. On Oct. 23, MRP Residential, a division of MRP Realty, celebrated the grand opening of the Elevation at Washington Gateway, a Class A apartment building located at 100 Florida Ave., N.E.

MRP broke ground on the 14-story building in the fall of 2012. The Elevation at Washington Gateway is the first phase of the D.C.-based developer’s Washington Gateway project in NoMa. When finished, the massive development will include three buildings and roughly 1 million square feet of residential, retail and office space.

The Elevation at Washington Gateway offers a mix of studio, one- and two-bedroom units with nine-foot ceilings, designer kitchens and wood flooring. Amenities include a state-of-the-art fitness center, a club room, a “Sky Lounge,” a 5,200-square-foot Union Social restaurant on the ground floor and a 249-space parking garage.

“With Elevation at Washington Gateway, residents will enjoy luxury finishes and abundant amenities against extraordinary views of the Capitol skyline and incomparable access at the cross-section of Florida and New York avenues,” Matt Robinson, principal of MRP Residential, said in a statement for the press. “Elevation sets a new standard for what apartment renters will appreciate in the NoMa submarket.”

MRP has retained Bozzuto Management to lease and manage the property. Apartment leasing started at the end of July. According to Bozzuto’s website, studios rent from $1,855 per month, one-bedroom units from $1,881 and two-bedroom units from $2,988 per month.
