National Storage Affiliates Buys GA Facility
The company has expanded its portfolio with a 110,400-net-rentable-square-foot facility located in Augusta, Ga., roughly 5 miles from the city’s downtown.

National Storage Affiliates has acquired Stowaway Self Storage, a 110,400-rentable-square-foot facility in Augusta, Ga., for $5.5 million, according to Yardi Matrix. Midcoast Properties represented the seller, an Augusta-based private owner. The storage asset was rebranded as SecurCare Self Storage.
The property is situated at 3044 Washington Road near the intersection of Freeway 28 and Interstate 20, roughly 5 miles from the city’s downtown. The facility is also close to residential areas; there are around 7,400 completed units within a 3-mile radius, Yardi Matrix data shows.
The facility, which was built in four phases between 1997 and 2003, occupies 7 acres and comprises units ranging from 25 to 900 square feet. The 13-building storage asset features climate- and non-climate-controlled units and vehicle storage space. Additional characteristics include security cameras, lighting, keypad gate entry, a move-in truck and moving supplies.
Dale Eisenman of Midcoast Properties brokered the sale of the storage. In November, the firm also facilitated the sale of a 91,000-rentable-square-foot facility in Stockbridge, Ga.
