Atlanta—Hilton, Greystar Real Estate Partners, Concord Hospitality Enterprises Co. and Whitman Peterson recently announced that construction at the Canopy by Hilton Atlanta Midtown has begun. The hotel is slated to open in summer 2018.
The 176-key hotel will include four suites and will offer 3,000 square feet of meeting space with an adjacent board room and elevated outdoor terrace. The rooms will include wood flooring, walk-in tile showers and local art.
Located at 1414 W. Peachtree St., in the heart of Midtown, the epicenter of Atlanta’s thriving arts scene, Canopy by Hilton Atlanta Midtown will be minutes away from the High Museum of Art, Ferst Center for the Arts and Atlanta’s Symphony Orchestra. The hotel will sit alongside some of Atlanta’s most iconic buildings, including Bank of America Plaza, the tallest building in Atlanta, and Symphony Tower.
“From the High Museum of Art to Symphony Tower, Midtown Atlanta attracts a mix of business and leisure travelers, making this an ideal community for the Canopy by Hilton concept,” Mark Laport, president & CEO of Concord Hospitality, said in a statement. “As the area continues to grow, so does the demand for a contemporary and connected hotel designed with guest needs in mind. Canopy by Hilton could not be a better fit and we are excited to team with Greystar to help ensure that this hotel represents the highest in quality accommodations in the Atlanta market.”
