The latest property in the Courtyard by Marriott portfolio will open its doors on Thursday, April 4, with the planned launch of a new 105-key hotel in Cary, N.C. Winwood Hospitality Group owns and manages Courtyard by Marriott Raleigh/Cary Parkside Town Commons.

The new hotel is located at 1008 Parkside Main St. in Parkside Town Commons, a retail and entertainment center neighboring the Research Triangle Park, 7 miles from Raleigh-Durham International Airport. The six-story property includes 3,669 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space as well as a heated indoor swimming pool, outdoor terrace, fitness center and other amenities.

Courtyard is Marriott’s mid-priced hotel chain catering primarily business travelers, with more than 900 locations in 37 countries. In October 2017, Marriott boosted its presence in Raleigh by opening the StateView Hotel, a 164-key project on North Carolina State University’s Centennial Campus. Owned by Noble Investment Group, the property is part of Marriott’s luxury Autograph Collection Hotels.

Last year, Winwood acquired a Firestone auto care store in downtown Raleigh, where it intends to build a 12-story, 187-room Courtyard by Marriott, according to a report by WTVD. In addition to the two Marriott properties, the group also owns Hilton hotels in Raleigh-Durham under the Embassy Suites, Hampton Inn & Suites and Hilton Garden Inn brands.
