New Hotel Underway at KCK’s Plaza at the Speedway
A new Homewood Suites by Hilton is under construction at the Plaza at the Speedway development in Kansas City.

Kansas City, Kan.—Local company Block & Co. Realtors has recently brokered the sale of a 2.71 acre pad site at the Plaza at the Speedway development in Kansas City. Baywood Hotels purchased the property for an undisclosed amount.
David Block, Alex Block and Max Kosoglad of Block & Co. Realtors represented the seller, Plaza Speedway Development, in the transaction. The site, located at 10922 Parallel Parkway is currently in Phase V of development and will house a Homewood Suites by Hilton hotel.
The Plaza at the Speedway is an 850,000-square-foot power shopping center located at I-435 Parallel Parkway. The property is surrounded by various attractions such as the NASCAR Kansas Speedway, Kansas City T-Bones Baseball Park, Cabela’s, The Legends Kansas City Outlets, Hollywood Casino, The Great Wolf Lodge, Schlitterbahn Vacation Village, Sporting Park Soccer Stadium and a new 600,000-square-foot office campus, which is home to a major expansion of Kansas City’s Cerner Corp. and 4,000 new employees.
