Hong Kong-based Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts announced the opening of their 325-key hotel in Guanyin Shan business district, Xiamen’s new financial and IT area. The hotel is close to the Xiamen International Conference and Exhibition Centre and less than a 30-minute drive away from Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport.
The 22-story Shangri-La Hotel provides diverse accommodation options, from 450-square-foot deluxe rooms to suites with over 1,800 square feet of living space. More than 70 percent of the rooms and suites are overlooking the South China Sea.
Wide Range of Facilities
The hotel encompasses two restaurants, a lobby lounge and a spacious open-air terrace. The 32,300-square-foot NX Fitness & Spa includes an indoor heated swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and gym. The 26-foot pillar-less grand ballroom is one of the largest spaces in the building, spreading across more than 16,000 square feet.
The hotel will also include the NX Kid’s Club, scheduled to open by the end of 2017. Nine additional adaptable event spaces have the capacity of hosting groups of 30 to 400 guests.
Park Hyatt also expanded its presence in China with a 49-story luxury hotel that opened last year.
