Chicago—Mayor Rahm Emanuel joined Ulta Beauty CEO Mary Dillon to announce that the Bolingbrook, Ill.-based beauty store chain will be opening a new satellite office in downtown Chicago this summer.

Expected to take up roughly 23,000 square feet of space at 120 South Riverside Plaza, the company’s new office will incorporate up to 100 shared work stations. Employees will have access to a plethora of amenities within the 22-story office tower, including a fitness center and tenant lounge, and will benefit from the building’s proximity to both the Union and Ogilvie Metra stations and the ‘L’ subway system.

“From the talent of our workforce to the quality of life in our communities, Ulta Beauty recognizes the many strengths and opportunities that Chicago offers for fast-growing companies and I want to thank them for doubling down on the City of Chicago,” Mayor Rahm Emanuel said in a prepared statement. “By expanding their presence here, Ulta Beauty joins a growing list of other companies who have chosen to make their future part of Chicago’s future.”

Ulta Beauty currently employs more than 750 people at its Bolingbrook headquarters, which is currently undergoing renovations. As of January 2016, the company operates 874 retail stores across 48 states.

“We are very excited that Ulta Beauty has selected 120 South Riverside Plaza as its downtown office location,” said Timothy Callahan, CEO of Callan Capital Properties. “With its prime West Loop location, efficient floorplates, extensive outdoor areas and abundant amenities, 120 South Riverside Plaza continues to attract premier tenants from a broad range of industries.”

Situated on the west bank of the Chicago River between West Adams and West Monroe streets, 10 and 120 South Riverside Plaza is a 1.4 million-square-foot office complex owned by Ivanhoe Cambridge and Callahan Capital Properties. Comprised of two adjacent 21-story buildings, the complex first opened in 1965, was renovated in 1999 and is LEED Silver-certified.
