Lighthouse Strategies signed a 40,811-square-foot lease in San Diego, with plans to use the space for its California headquarters starting in December.
The two-story asset is located at 10170 Sorrento Valley Road, less than a mile from Interstate 805 and two miles from Interstate 5. The building offers convenient access to multiple bus stations, restaurants and hotels, including Shallot Asian Cuisine, Courtyard by Marriott and Holiday Inn Express & Suites. The property was the home of Scripps Business Services Department for more than 10 years.
Newmark Knight Frank’s Senior Managing Directors Steve Bruce and Chris High, along with Associate Conor Evans negotiated the lease on behalf of the landlord, CIRE Equity. Cresa Global Managing Principal Simon Terry-Lloyd and Advisor Zach Shaw represented the tenant.
“Our NKF team and CIRE executed a strategic improvement plan immediately following Scripps move-out,” Bruce said in a prepared statement. “The renovation included a new glass storefront, the addition of skylights, major improvements to the exterior and a refurbished and enlarged lobby.”
Earlier this month, NKF also brokered the sale of Northpointe, a 280,000-square-foot San Bernardino office building.
