Oracle has signed a six-year lease for approximately 16,000 square feet in downtown Oakland, which reinforces the company’s expansion into the East Bay. John Dolby and Dane Hooks of Cushman & Wakefield represented the owner, TMG Partners, in the transaction.
Oracle will take up space on the 17th floor of 1330 Broadway, a 313,000-square-foot office building offering views of the East Bay, San Francisco and the Marin Headlands. The tower is surrounded by many food, beverage and other retail amenities. The 18-story Class A property sits atop the 12th Street Oakland BART station and has easy access to bus lines. Interstates 580, 880 and 980 provide direct connections to San Francisco, Berkeley, Contra Costa County, Southern Alameda County and Silicon Valley. The building is also served by the Alameda/Oakland Ferry, Amtrak and the free Broadway B Shuttle.
TMG Partners is nearing completion of the redevelopment of the 1958 building purchased in 2015 for $80 million from Myron Zimmerman Investments. Upgrades were brought to the main lobby, building entrance, common area, elevator and building systems, conference facilities, bike parking and commuter showers. TMG Partners has also recently leased 9,200 square feet of office space in Oakland to an online training software provider.
