Outside-the-Box Tower Nears Completion in LA

Samitaur Constructs will unveil the building’s unique exterior in the coming weeks.

Samitaur Constructs will uncover the striking exterior of the 16-story (W)rapper in Los Angeles in the coming weeks. The 180,548-square-foot creative office tower features an exoskeleton ribbon structure designed by Eric Owen Moss Architects.

JLL is in charge with leasing the property. Completion is slated for August 2022.

The office building’s floorplates range between 7,656 and 22,000 square feet, some of which are column-free, according to CommercialEdge data. The high-rise can, however, accommodate up to a contiguous 140,000 square feet. Tenant amenities include a rooftop deck, lobby and retail amenity area. The office tower also features side core design and seismic base isolation.

Located at 5790 W. Jefferson Blvd., in the Culver City area of Los Angeles, the building is some 8 miles west of downtown Los Angeles. The Museum of Jurassic Technology is 1 mile west of the property, while several retail, dining and entertainment options are available within a 1-mile radius.

The female-led Samitaur Constructs is known for its intriguing, imaginative office buildings, which include Conjunctive Points in Culver City, a mixed-use neighborhood comprising workspace, restaurants and parks.

Office vacancy in Los Angeles was 13.5 percent as of January, up 30 basis points month-over-month, according to CommercialEdge data. The market’s office vacancy rate was 220 basis points below the U.S. average.
