Hangzhou, China— Park Hyatt has announced the opening of its latest hotel in the eastern Chinese city fabled as “paradise on earth”, Hangzhou.
“Park Hyatt Hangzhou reflects the poetry and luxury of life around famous West Lake and Jiangnan, located on the top of the city and next to Qiantang River,” Stephan Tschuppik, general manager of the hotel, said in a prepared statement.
The 242-key, 49-story hotel is located within the miXc complex, which also includes Class A offices, residential units and a six-level, high-end retail podium. The property is less than 30 minutes from Hangzhou International Airport and Hangzhou East Railway Station, and was designed by award-winning New York duo Yabu Pushelberg, which conceived the building as a contemporary Jiangnan-style residence. The property includes seven restaurants and bars, an indoor pool, a fitness center and a ballroom, among others.
