PGT Innovations Inc. has announced plans to expand its operations in a new 330,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Miami. The new building will serve as the company’s headquarters and it is meant to enhance manufacturing capabilities and meet growing demand.
Plans for the new facility include a multi-brand showroom, offices, production and distribution. The new space is designed to produce PGT Innovations’ CGI-branded products and is located approximately 12 miles from its current location, a 182,000-square-foot building at 1070 Technology Drive in North Venice, Fla.
“This new facility demonstrates our commitment to make our products in America and to serve our core market of Florida, which continues to be a positive environment for the growth of our company,” said Jeff Jackson, president & COO of PGT Innovations in prepared remarks. “This move also increases our manufacturing capabilities and enhances operational efficiencies by combining parts of our production, distribution and marketing efforts across all of our brands,” he added.
The new space is slated for completion near year-end 2017 and is expected to be operational by January 2018. PGT Innovations holds a leadership position in manufacturing impact-resistant doors and windows, through its trusted brands that include CGI, PGT Custom Windows & Doors and WinDoor.
