The 21-story property called The Joseph Nashville will be Pizzuti’s second Starwood hotel. The mixed-use project calls for a full-service, luxury hotel with a strong focus on contemporary design, art, music and cuisine. The Joseph Nashville will also showcase the work of Tennessee visual and performing artists.

Amenities will include banquet and meeting facilities, restaurant, bar, rooftop spa, swimming pool and a structured parking garage with 180 spaces for the exclusive use of the Nashville Symphony.

“We’ve had our eye on Nashville for some time,” Joel Pizzuti, president of The Pizzuti Cos., said in a prepared statement. “We are thrilled to have the opportunity to partner with the Nashville Symphony and develop a luxury hotel in one of Nashville’s most vibrant and exciting neighborhoods.”

Construction on the project is expected to begin in the summer of 2016, with the official opening scheduled for 2018.
