Product Spotlight: Herman Miller’s Remastered Aeron Chair

The dependable office favorite got a makeover, with new ergonomic and design features.

By Mallory Bulman

The Aeron chair, made by furniture design company Herman Miller, has long been the office sector’s go-to choice for a well-designed and ergonomic desk chair. While the more-than-100-year-old company could easily stick with what works, co-designer Don Chadwick spent more than two years revamping the iconic chair.

The new Aeron is tailored to provide a healthier sitting position with a re-engineered tilt mechanism, adjustable spinal support and a more responsive and customizable suspension system. To accommodate people of all shapes and sizes, the re-designed Aeron is available in three sizes. A posture support feature comprised of adjustable padding helps keep workers’ lumbar region stabilized to aid in the development of better posture and strengthening of the spine. The new material across the seat and back hugs the sitter with ergonomic support and the open-weave material allows for comfortable ventilation.

While the chair comes in three different sizes to suit different people, it also comes in three different colors to suit different workplaces: mineral, carbon and graphite.
