Public Storage Brings New Facility to Seattle
The firm has opened a new self-storage facility located in Puyallup, Wash. The property offers more than 1,200 units of storage space serving the local community.

Public Storage has expanded its northwestern footprint with the opening of a new self-storage facility near Seattle. Totaling more than 1,200 self-storage units, the property is located in the suburb of Puyallup, and is part of the company’s plan to keep up with the demand driven by residents looking for housing options outside city limits.
Located at 16311 Meridian Ave., approximately 45 miles from downtown Seattle, the facility is adjacent to the Pierce County Airport and is near Freeway 512. The South Hill and Sunrise Village shopping centers are situated within close proximity. Nearly 72,000 people live within a three-mile radius, and the average income is roughly $77,000. According to the company’s website, the facility comprises units ranging in size from 25 to 300 square feet. The building also features climate control and drive-up access.
“We’re providing storage units to a community that is underserved,” said Bryan Miranda, vice president of west coast development at Public Storage, in prepared remarks. “And we’re in the path of growth, so we’re expecting more homes and more tenants.”
