Public Storage has opened 350 units of a 1,150-unit facility in Gardena, Calif. The company aims to open 800 additional storage units in the three-story facility later this month.

Strategically located at 16100 S. Avalon Blvd., the facility is near the intersection of Interstate 110 and Freeway 91, within 25 minutes of downtown Los Angeles. Situated merely one block away from the facility, the city of Carson will also benefit from the new Public Storage. The 133,767-square-foot asset occupies 2 acres and comprises units ranging from 25 to 200 square feet. The storage units are indoor and climate-controlled.

The company has recently acquired six self-storage properties totaling 430,000 square feet in the Dallas-Fort Worth market. The properties were built between 2001 and 2017 and offer more than 3,300 storage units.
