San Diego—The Carlsbad submarket is set to get its first creative office campus development following the announcement that RAF Pacifica Group has acquired a significant plot of land in North San Diego County. The company acquired the site from Cruzan for a total consideration of $4.8 million, with both parties being represented by Arik Starck of Cushman & Wakefield.
Located at the intersection of Palomar Airport Road and Innovation Way in Carlsbad, Calif., the 4.4-acre site will house a brand new project. Known as in•sti•gate, the project will offer around 50,000 square feet of new creative office space with high-end amenities, an onsite upscale dining spot, open exposed HVAC, outdoor BBQ areas and a communal quad atmosphere. Other features at the loft-style building include Clam shell glass walls, rooftop decks, resort-style facilities and an on-site fitness center.
According to Starck, “Carlsbad companies largely consist of biotech, action sports and technology. These companies thrive on creativity and innovation and represent a new generation of office users. The atmosphere at in•sti•gate is a departure from the typical office building and will foster collaboration and novel ideas.” Groundbreaking at the site is expected for August of next year.
