With this new addition, the mixed-use property hit a leasing milestone of 98 percent. This deal marks the largest office lease signed in downtown Phoenix during the pandemic.

Snell & Wilmer will be relocating its headquarters from the Arizona Center, occupying a total of 115,000 square feet across five stories at this building. The firm has more than 450 attorneys in 15 locations across the western U.S. and Mexico, making them the largest full-service law firm in the West.

CBRE’s Executive Vice President Chuck Nixon represented the law firm in the deal.

Matthew Feeney, chair of Snell & Wilmer, said in a prepared statement that the firm chose CityScape due to its attractive location and ability to offer the technology that its clients and employees require.

CityScape’s Appeal

The $500 million mixed-use destination stands 27 stories and is home to more than 20 retailers, 224 luxury multifamily units and a hotel.

The firm is the ninth new tenant brought to CityScape in the last 12 months, joining others such as 810 Billiards & Bowling, Pigtails, Everbowl, Downtown Phoenix Bike Shop, The Yard Milkshake Bar, Dog Haus Biergarten, One Stop Nutrition and The Phoenix Bourbon Room.

The transit-oriented property is surrounded by light rail stops and is adjacent to Phoenix’s professional sports and entertainment venues such as Phoenix Suns Arena, the Phoenix Convention Center, the Arizona Diamondbacks Stadium, Arizona State University’s downtown campus, as well as various state and government offices.
