Regus’ flexible workspace concept, Spaces, recently inked a 34,000 square-foot lease at 8000 Avalon, an upcoming office development in Alpharetta, Ga. Back in 2015, Hines and Cousins Properties entered into a joint venture to develop the 224,000-square-foot Class A office property that is currently under construction.
Located at 8000 Avalon Blvd. in the North Fulton submarket, the nine-story building designed by HOK Architects will become the tallest property in the area. The project will be close to the Direct MARTA bus service and will provide express arterial road connectivity in all directions. The $73 million office project located within Village of Avalon, an 86-acre mixed-use master planned development, was at 40 percent occupancy with the addition of Spaces.
“Spaces adds a unique element to 8000 Avalon and the entire mixed-use district by offering meeting rooms and coworking spaces to the next generation of business owners and entrepreneurs,” Larry Gellerstedt, president & CEO of Cousins Properties, said in prepared remarks.
David Demarest, Brannan Moss and Jennifer Ziegler of JLL negotiated the 11-year lease on behalf of the tenant.
