Richmond, Va.—Richmond City Council voted for the Westhampton on Grove project in the city’s West End, Richmond Times-Dispatch reported.

The mixed-use development will bring 20,505 square feet of ground-floor retail, four Class A office suites and 12 luxury apartments through the conversion of the Westhampton Theater and Long & Foster properties at 5706 & 5702 Grove Ave. Slated for completion by the end of 2017, the project also features 104 off-street parking spots and patios for outdoor dining.

With a population of approximately 238,000 people within a five-mile radius at an average household income of $72,816, Westhampton on Grove is all about location. Three of the four ground floor retailers have already been announced. Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer, currently in charge of leasing, is seeking a neighbor for Mango Salon, Long & Foster Real Estate and Taste Unlimited.
