Salesforce Office Tower Certified LEED Platinum

San Francisco–One of Kilroy Realty Corp.’s most recent office projects has recently achieved LEED Platinum certification under the Core & Shell rating system from the U.S. Green Building Council. The company’s 350 Mission St. office building is already fully pre-leased to tech company Salesforce.

Located at 350 Mission St. in San Francisco’s South of Market District, the 30-story office tower offers 450,000 square feet of space. The skyscraper is located in the vicinity of the planned Transbay Transit Center and Caltrans rail. Following the completion of this project, as well Kilroy’s 333 Brannan development, the company will own a San Francisco office portfolio of approximately 2.8 million square feet.

Designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, the project was built by Webcor Builders, while Environmental Building Services executed the commissioning work. The mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design was provided by WSP Flack & Kurtz.

The development project incorporates a number of sustainable features, including: 33 percent energy savings above the LEED baseline; reuse of stormwater; underfloor HVAC system; abundant daylight; usage of outside air for cooling; destination-controlled elevator system; innovative structural system cutting use of 1.2 million pounds of steel and 600 truckloads of concrete; usage of materials with recycled content; regional sourcing; FSC wood; efficient lighting and mechanical systems; low-emitting materials and rigorous construction air quality management; and electric car charging stations and Zipcar parking spaces.
