Savills Studley Continues DC Expansion with New Hires

Washington—Savills Studley has expanded in the DC metro with two new hires, Dave MacPhail and Sarah Dreyer, who joined as director for workplace and occupancy strategy and director of research, respectively.

In his new role, MacPhail will handle space requirements, locations analysis and workplace strategy in Washington, Northern Virginia and Baltimore. He has more than 18 years of real estate experience ranging from project management to architectural design.

MacPhail joins Savills Studley from Deloitte Consulting LLP in Arlington, Va., where he led real estate portfolio strategy development for clients across the United States. Previously, he served as senior project manager at the University of Virginia Medical Center, where he managed design and construction projects for the healthcare complex.

A licensed, LEED-accredited architect, MacPhail has also held several high-profile positions in the design industry in New York City with Anbau Enterprises, Robert A.M. Stern Architects and David Brody & Bond Architects. MacPhail holds a M.S. in real estate finance from New York University and a B.S. in architecture from the University of Virginia.

Sarah Dreyer

Dreyer brings more than 10 years of experience in research, analytical and client-servicing roles. She joins from Vornado / Charles E. Smith, where she was responsible for all market research activities across the company’s Washington platform. Previously, she served as the Mid-Atlantic regional research director for Cushman & Wakefield, where she oversaw the Washington, Baltimore and Philadelphia research teams, contributed to firm-wide thought leadership, and engaged with clients. She graduated with an M.B.A. from George Mason University and a B.S. in English from George Washington University.
