SCL Health Opens New Facility in Denver
The two-story building is part of SCL Health Community Hospital – Westminster project.

Denver—Healthcare company SCL Health recently announced the opening of a new 37,000-square-foot satellite emergency center in Aurora, Colo.
Located at 23770 E. Smoky Hill Road, the two-story building is part of SCL Health Community Hospital – Westminster. The company built the Westminster hospital and the Aurora facility, along with two community hospitals in Littleton and Northglenn through a joint venture with Emerus. All were developed and are owned by Duke Realty. The general contractor for the four hospitals is Kiewit Building Group and the architect is PhiloWilke Partnership.
The facilities offer a range of licensed hospital services in suburban locations that are typically found on a larger hospital campus. These services include include emergency and non-emergency medical care, impatient care, surgical procedures, extensive on-site laboratory and radiology services.
“These facilities are becoming more and more popular across the country because they meet residents’ needs, especially the need for close proximity,” Keith Konkoli, Duke Realty executive vice president healthcare, said in a statement. “We’re pleased to be a leader in this growing trend, working with Emerus and SCL Health to bring new, high-quality community healthcare services to the Denver region.”
