Sheraton Completes $7M Philly Hotel Renovation

Vector, the newly designed restaurant & bar at Sheraton Suites Philadelphia Airport

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts has finished the $7 million renewal of Sheraton Suites Philadelphia Airport Hotel. The 1980s-built, 250-key property is managed by Crescent Hotels & Resorts, and its complete renovation was handled by Balongue Interiors.

The top to bottom facelift included the rooms, lobby, restaurant and bar, meeting spaces, fitness center, the indoor pool and the Sheraton Club Lounge. Balongue added various art pieces and implemented a contemporary urban design throughout the property.

New restaurant & bar

The pet-friendly hotel is situated less than a mile from Philadelphia International Airport, at 4101 Island Ave. Guests have access to a free shuttle service to and from the airport, as well as immediate access to Interstate 95. Other amenities include gated parking, complimentary Wi-Fi and a new restaurant and bar. Philadelphia’s Central City is about 10 miles away.

“Vector, the new restaurant and bar in the Sheraton Suites Philadelphia Airport, presented a unique design challenge. The hotel was dated, and featured a vast open atrium that is not conducive to the more intimate dining and bar experience most guests desire. The solution was to create a modern insertion into the atrium area that reduces the volume of space above diners, while remaining light and open,” said Richard Stokes, lead architect of the project, in a prepared statement.

Last month saw the completion of renovations at another Sheraton Hotels & Suites property, a 375-key hotel in Boston.
