Sherri Schugart Joins Hines Executive Committee

Houston—Hines recently appointed Sherri Schugart to the firm’s Executive Committee, which functions as a board of directors.

Schugart is the senior managing director & CEO of the Core Fund, REIT & BDC Group, and currently serves as the president & CEO of all three of Hines’ public real estate companies, Hines REIT, Hines Global REIT and Hines Global REIT II, as well as HMS Income Fund Inc. and the firm’s institutional U.S. Core Office Fund. Schugart previously served as COO, as well as CFO for several of these entities. Collectively, these five investment funds currently own and manage approximately $10 billion of real estate and debt investments located across Hines’ global platform.

In addition, Schugart serves on the Board of Directors of Hines Securities Inc., Hines’ Registered Broker Dealer, with overall management and leadership responsibilities of HSI as it pertains to retail capital raising.

Since joining Hines in 1995, Schugart has served in various capacities within Hines’ investment management and capital markets groups and has participated in the raising and managing of more than $15 billion of equity and debt capital for several of Hines’ institutional and public funds with varying investment strategies in the U.S. and internationally.
