Safety footwear brand Shoes For Crews prepares to leave its 37,657-square-foot headquarters in West Palm Beach Fla., to relocate to a new office within the Boca Raton Innovation Campus (BRIC). The move will take place in March 2018.
“The new space mirrors the growth and culture we’re nurturing at Shoes For Crews. Our new offices are being designed and built from the ground up to foster better collaboration among teams and between departments, and provide a modern, welcoming workplace for each of our employees,” said Dean Ngo, the company’s vice president, in prepared remarks.
Cushman & Wakefield, which was recently tapped to lease Boca Village Corporate Center, assigned Director Kevin Landers to represent Shoes For Crews in the negotiations. Landers joined efforts with Christopher Harak, a senior vice president with Blanca Commercial Real Estate. CBRE Executive Vice President Jeff Kelly closed on the deal on behalf of the landlord, Next Tier HD.
BRIC: Home of the first PC
BRIC was built in 1970 at 5000 T-Rex Ave. to host IBM’s North American research and development operations. It is the place where the first personal computer was developed.
The campus encompasses 1.7 million square feet and an array of amenities including a triple-redundant fiber synchronous optical networking ring, a fitness center, a day care center, a 250-seat conference center, 24-hour security, on-site retail, dining and banking, as well as a Tri-Rail shuttle. Next Tier HD bought the asset in 2015, bringing several improvements upon purchasing it.
