New York—SL Green Realty Corp. has inked a 10-year, 4,629-square-foot lease with Line Friends at 1515 Broadway.
Line Friends will have 65 feet of wraparound frontage, as well as exclusive use of 1,314 square feet of LED signage in Times Square’s Bowtie, which underwent a six-year makeover starting 2010. Situated on the southwest corner of West 45th Street, the property is close to 14 subway lines, Penn Station and the Port Authority.
Steven Soutendijk, Glenn Yang and Molly Sandza of Cushman & Wakefield represented Line Corp., while RKF’s Ariel Schuster, Ross Berkowitz and Jason Wecker acted on behalf of SL Green.
“Times Square continues to attract strong global retail players. This premier Bowtie location will be Line Friends’ first American flagship. It provides the brand with unparalleled 24/7 exposure to pedestrian traffic, as well as LED signage ideal for showcasing the company’s retail products that complement its digital application,” said Brett Herschenfeld, SL Green managing director, in prepared remarks.
Designed by architect Ely J. Kahn & Jacobs, the 54-story office tower also serves as the international headquarters of Viacom and the home of the Minskoff Theatre, home to Disney musical The Lion King.
