SOMO Group has opened SOMO Cowork, a 24,000-square-foot flex office space in Rohnert Park, Calif. Situated within the San Francisco metropolitan area, the shared offices are part of SOMO Village, a live-work-play neighborhood developed by the company.

Coupled with wellness facilities, SOMO Cowork offers 65 office spaces, varying from dedicated desks, private offices and flexible desks to meeting rooms and event spaces, suitable for enterprise organizations, growing start-ups, solo professionals or remote workers. Memberships for fully furnished offices include janitorial services, utilities and refreshments.

Common-area amenities include conference rooms, a kitchen and lounge room, phone booths and a podcast room, as well as complimentary coffee and tea. Wellness amenities feature a meditation room, massage room, spin room with shower and movement room with a VR headset.

SOMO Village comprises 600,000 square feet of solar-powered commercial space, including traditional offices, warehouse and retail space. The development will also offer up to 1,750 homes, including 254 affordable units. Located at 1500 Valley House Drive, the property is within 2.5 miles of Highway 101, connecting it to other cities in Sonoma County. World Centric, Rieke Packaging, Credo High School and Traditional Medicinals are some of the current tenants at SOMO Village.

In the two past months, the coworking sector showed growth in several California markets. In August, Downtown Works added 10,000 square feet to its existing space in the Little Italy neighborhood of San Diego. Moreover, Pacific Workplaces announced plans for a new 11,590-square-foot coworking space in Sacramento, offering 40 coworking seats and 38 private offices.
