Spirit Realty Capital Names Jackson Hsieh as CEO
Hsieh joined the company last year as president & COO. Additionally, he was appointed to Spirit's board of directors.
Jackson Hsieh, CEO & President of Spirit Realty Capital
Spirit Realty Capital Inc. promoted Jackson Hsieh to CEO & president and appointed him to the company’s board of directors. Additionally, Richard Gilchrist, formerly lead independent director, has been named chairman of the board.
Hsieh joined Spirit last September as president & COO and worked directly with Thomas Nolan, the former chairman & CEO, who is leaving the company. Prior to this, Hsieh worked at Morgan Stanley, where he served as managing director & vice chairman of investment banking, focusing primarily on real estate clients. He was also vice chairman & sole/co-global head of real estate investment banking group at UBS, where he managed a team of more than 70 professionals in six offices worldwide.
During his career, Hsieh was involved in real estate and lodging transactions of more than $285 billion. He is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley and received a master’s degree from Harvard University.
