SVN Chicago Commercial brokered the sale of a retail strip center in Northfield, Ill. The 6,600-square-foot property traded for $2.4 million. The company’s Senior Vice President Wayne Caplan represented the seller in this real estate deal. The buyer is an out-of-state investor.
North shore properties, in demand
Located at 1900 Willow Road, the 2015 building is currently fully leased to three tenants, one of which is Dunkin Donuts. The lot is part of a dynamic retail and dining area, which expands along both Willow Road and Northfield Road.
“North Shore properties are always in demand,” said Caplan in prepared remarks. “In addition to there being substantial barriers to entry for development, a location like this, close to other major retailers like Mariano’s and Starbucks and seconds from the expressway, is always sought after by both local and out of state investors as well as retail tenants.”
Situated between interstates 94 and 294, Northfield is a village less than 20 miles from downtown Chicago and home to several corporations such as Kraft and PC Nation.
