A Greensboro, N.C. company is bringing more than 350,000 square feet of retail space to Daytona Beach in late 2016.

Tanger Factory Outlet Centers Inc. has recently purchased land in the “Spring Capital of the World”, with plans to open a new outlet shopping center. Located at the southeast quadrant of Interstate 95 and LPGA Boulevard, the center will encompass more than 350,000 square feet of space and more than 80 upscale retailers. According to Tanger, the new outlet center is expected to open in time for the 2016 holiday shopping season.

Tanger’s new Florida asset will be situated just 2.5 miles north of the Dakota Speedway, and roughly 6 miles from the beaches of Volusia County. The project is expected to create more than 400 construction jobs and more than 900 permanent jobs upon completion, and create more than $8.8 million in yearly tax revenue.
