Tech Company Heads for Dallas Area
Doosan Robotics Americas will establish its U.S. headquarters in Plano.
Another tech company is headed for Texas. Doosan Robotics Inc., a South Korean cobot—collaborative robot—provider, has created a new business unit which will establish its U.S. headquarters near Dallas, in Plano.
As of October, Gaedeke Group’s 7950 Legacy Drive will be home to Doosan Robotics Americas, according to The Dallas Morning News. Totaling 307,824 square feet, the 14-story building rises in Legacy West, a $3 billion mixed-use development with office, retail, hotel and residential in the Platinum Corridor North submarket.
Completed in 2017, the LEED Gold-certified tower also known as One Legacy West offers 25,679-square-foot floorplates, CommercialEdge data shows. The Class A, 14-story building features a parking ratio of 4 spaces per 1,000 square feet. The tenant roster includes NTT Data, Venture X and Pacific Builders, among others.
One Legacy West offers easy access to Sam Rayburn Tollway, while downtown Dallas is some 23 miles south. Less than 10 miles away, Triten Real Estate Partners started construction on Assembly Park, a mixed-use project totaling 180,000 square feet.
In April, Platinum Corridor North registered a significant rise in office vacancy, up from 14.0 to 20.2 percent. Meanwhile, office vacancy rates across the Metroplex remained constant month-over-month staying at 17.3 percent, above the national average of 15.7 percent, according to CommercialEdge.
